The Ohio Union Activities Board (OUAB) is proud to present An Evening with Jon Stewart & The Daily Show on Saturday, October 28th at 9:30pm at the Jerome Schottenstein Center. This show will feature Jon Stewart as well as correspondents, writers, and producers from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." Tickets for this event will be released at 5pm on Monday, October 2nd. OSU-Columbus Students can pick up ONE ticket from the Ohio Union Information Desk starting at 5pm with a valid BuckID. Tickets will not be available to the public.

An Evening with Jon Stewart & The Daily Show is an exclusive production for OSU students. Students will be treated to an entertaining evening featuring Stewart and "The Daily Show" correspondents, writers, and producers discussing the show and fielding questions submitted by students prior to the event. Students can email their questions to AskTheDailyShow@gmail.com.

The nine-time Emmy and two-time Peabody Award-winning "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" is a nightly news satire that takes a reality-based look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports, entertainment and the media. In each show, Stewart and a team of correspondents, including Dan Bakkedahl, Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, John Oliver and Rob Riggle, comment on the day's stories employing actual news footage, taped field pieces, in-studio guests and on-the-spot coverage of important news events.

This event is a one-of-a-kind show exclusively for OSU students and should not be missed!


Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a ticket?

Tickets are absolutely free for current OSU-Columbus students ONLY. No tickets are available for faculty, staff, or the public. If you are a current OSU-Columbus student, you can pick up ONE ticket from the OSU Union Information Desk starting at 5pm on Monday, October 2nd by presenting a valid BuckID. You will be required to show your BuckID along with your ticket at the door in order to gain entry to the Schottenstein Center

Is Jon Stewart going to be doing standup?

While the extact format of the show has not yet been decided, it is expected that this show will not be purely standup. We do know that Jon and "The Daily Show" correspondents, writers, and producers will discuss various aspects of the show and will field questions submitted by students prior to the event. Where can I get tickets and information about The Daily Show tapings on campus?

How many tickets are going to be available?

Approximately 12,700 tickets will be available for this event. Due to Ohio State University-Columbus' current enrollment of more than 45,000 students, it is likely that this event will sell out quickly. While you are waiting in line, be sure to register to vote if you haven't already done so. For your convenience, OUAB and OSU-Votes volunteers will be distributing voter registration forms to students waiting in line on October 2nd.

Is the entire venue going to be General Admission?

The floor of the Schottenstein Center will be Reserved Seating. Each floor ticket will have a specific row and seat number. The arena bowl will be general admission. If you want to sit with your friends on the floor, you must pick up your tickets at the same time. You must be present to use your BuckID to obtain a ticket. Please note: the front five rows will be reserved for winners of various OUAB promotions and the Best Seats in the House Charity Challenge.

How do I get tickets in the Front Five Rows?

There are two ways. First, you and your friends can compete in the Best Seats in the House Charity Challenge.Information regarding the Charity Challenge can be found here. Second, OUAB will be giving away tickets in the front five rows at various OUAB events leading up to October 28th. For instance, OUAB will be giving away several pairs of tickets at the OUAB Comedy Show featuring Gabriel Iglesias on October 4th at 8pm at the Ohio Union Ballrooms.

I heard that my friends and I can win a luxury box for this event? Is that true?

Yes. It is absolutely true. Groups of up to sixteen students can compete in the Best Seats in the House Charity Challenge and win fabulous prizes, including a luxury box for the night or a block of tickets in the front five rows. All of the information regarding the Charity Challenge can be found here.

Can Faculty and Staff get tickets to this show?

Faculty and staff are invited to compete in the Best Seats in the House Charity Challenge, and can win a luxury box for this show if they place amongst the winning teams of the Charity Challenge. The Charity Challenge is the only way for faculty and staff to obtain tickets. All of the details regarding faculty and staff participation in the Charity Challenge can be found here.

Can I pick up a ticket for a friend?

No.

Isn't there a football game that afternoon?

Yes. On October 28th, OSU will be playing Minnesota at 3:30pm at the 'Shoe. The Jon Stewart & Friends show will start promptly at 9:30pm. Unless the game goes into quadruple overtime, these events will not overlap. Traffic around the Schottenstein Center could be congested prior to show time. Please plan accordingly.

Can I bring a camera or recording device?

No. Cameras and recording devices are strictly prohibited. Anyone found in possession of such devices will be denied admittance or will be removed from the venue. Please leave these items at home.

What is OUAB?

OUAB is the Ohio Union Activities Board. Remember those shows by Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Lewis Black, and Wanda Sykes? Yeah, we did that. How about 311, Phil Vassar, The Roots, and Jason Mraz? This fall, OUAB Comedy is featuring shows by Gabriel Iglesias (from NBC's Last Comic Standing) on October 4th, Dave Attell and Greg Fitzsimmons on November 1st, and Jim Gaffigan and Josh Blue on November 20th.
